My father passed away when I was just barely 16. Often in my life I have felt his presence near me and several times I have had dreams where he has helped me through various trials in my life. Several years ago I had a dream that has changed my life and I have felt I needed to share with others often, for it taught me a great lesson.
I dreamed that I was back on the street where I grew up. I lived on a dead end street in a suburban neighborhood. I dreamed t that there were 3 cars that I had to move, one after another, backing up, pulling forward, constantly changing their parking order on the street in front of my house. One car was very, very small and drove very, very fast, almost out of my control. The 2nd car was a mid-size car and it was quite pleasant to drive. I felt I just went along comfortably when parking and driving this car. The next car was long very, very long, like an extreme stretch limousine. This car drove so slowly and even when you put your foot to the floor it went so slow, it was cumbersome and difficult to drive. I asked my dad why I had to keep moving these cars one after another and back and forth over and over again? He told me that I was going nowhere in my life. I hadn’t picked a direction and therefore I was going to go nowhere. He said, sometimes you are going along great and easy, and other times you are lazy like the long stretch limo car, then sometimes you are out of control like the fast car. He then told me I needed to organize my life and I needed to find my focus and direction, and take it one day and one step at a time. I needed to take control of it, and stay focused. The Lord had a mission for me to do and I must get organized and prepared.
